Believers think
that true change must
only come from the heart
But a heart
is easily changed
from hardened
to swollen
with love
Then
to broken
and back again
with a simple glance
or touch of the hand
But before a true
resurrection
can arrive
A crucifixion
must occur
at the place of the skull

I really look up to poems, or people that talk about the diversity and complications of our inner battle. Some people think that you are suppose to be one way all the time. Boy, are they wrong. Thanks for being another that understands. Good, deep, poem.

I'm a newbie here and must tell you that I was very happy to see that the first poem (yours) that I read is one that causes one to think and remember. It is true we are always changing but one thing that will never change is, He did it all!

I too got more than one meaning from it,
Thought of Watchman Nee too....about the dying to self. (It's fun to know a Nee "fan" here. btw: I've got that radical christian book on my list to read at some point
)

But I continually remind myself, "if I make may bed in hell...You are there."
