I'm Still Here

I regret my absence as of late...this is no way an indication on my slighting the wonderful honor I feel in my selection as the Pages Laureate.

Many of my old friends here still hang about like little strings of web, their old writings clinging to them as tendrils of dust, anxious to be set free again to be examined, rebuked or appreciated.
I see, also, there are many I do not recognize due to my long absences...many young spears of anger, angst, love, praise, sadness and simply pure joy, imbedding themselves in and through the worn dustcover of these now venerable pages, bringing new life, new comraderies...new hope, for those seeking hope; a needed confirmation for those needing confirmation that they are not the only ones in the shadowy spots of life.

To all, from Thieves to Saturn's Lady, croutons to irrascable Texans, from the flowers on the Moon and flitting Egyptian Butterflies, to the many with whom I am not familiar, yet with whom I emphasize...for, after all, they all have words to share, fears to reveal, and faith to find, and a place in the house of the Pages...to all of you my heartfelt gratitude for your expression of whatever emotion drives you...
