WE’D RATHER TURN AWAY FROM FACT

We’d rather turn away from fact
Than risk our sunshine so to see
That Nature plays dynamic act
Defying cold reality.

The sky is blue, the trees are green,
Without the window all is well —
Yet such not so — altho’ it seem —
Since somewhere out there life is hell.

I would tend to agree. For many, life is a death sentence!

I believe it was Hugh Prather who said, "The window is not the view, the window only allows the view",....This is short and simple, but very much to the point!

I must admit, I had to read it a couple times to understand it, but once it took to piecing itself together in my simple little mind I just say here thinking, "Wow!"

Thank you for reading this poem -- especially -- so many times. And Thank you for investing so much effort in it so as to understand it. (Yes, it isn't easy -- I forget what they mean -- often -- myself!) You are most kind! --David
