A CARDBOARD BOX

Post by FirestoneFeinberg » Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:35 am

A cardboard box.
A plastic basket.
A dictionary...

The April sun shines
Through the closed window;
The shadow of the

Basket spreads across
The top of the cardboard
Box and onto the

Blue dictionary.
'This is the Here,' I think,
'And this is the Now.'

I'm finding your poetry becoming much more abstract in nature lately. Is that true? :hello:

It is a peculiar thing with me: I write in various styles. It used to bother me -- since I also write music and paint -- that I have no 'single' style -- but after a while i just accepted the fact -- and now i don't even notice that one poem (or whatever) differs so widely from another -- does that make sense?

Hey,...I'm not an expert on making sense. Just ask my wife. :mrgreen: Poetry itself doesn't make sense. :cool: I'm a semi-musician myself. Never dabbled in painting though. Good to know you David

i love this
it's so perceptive in its simplicity and it's whole with such a soft ending that it never even seems to end.
