my demons
they're in the backroom
of my mind
playing cards
my demons
attention, intentions
diverted
things have been quiet
for years
every now and then
they come from
that room-
“we're out of beer, douche!”
and
“we need to get laid, pussy!”
it's scary
how much they look
like me
at least I know
where they are
now

I remember Craig. Nice guy. From Ct I think. Harley guy. Good poet. "A bit on the minimalist/existentialist" side of the Poetry Periodic Table if I recall. Geesh,...he must be pushing 60 by now? Wonder if he still rides a Harley? Anyway,....Happy Birthday
