a public-private partnership
it was only supposed to be
a drunken one-night stand
we just couldn't bear
to see it all end
yielding to nature's demands
we scaled the heights
we conquered the world
walls came tumbling down
raised our righteous banner
in an ostentatious manner
we're the talk of the town
education in the facts and figures
my half is your half
your sinister laugh
it ought to be a crime
when I think I've got
nothing to lose
you take my dignity
my health and my time
we bombed in Athens
but we killed in Bombay
hell or high water
the same either way
we'll take what we need
they're scratching their heads
the ones who survive
wish they were dead
what's good for business
is good for the masses
what's in it for me?
these rose-colored glasses
a relationship gone sour
the bitter aftertaste
and a touch of buyer's remorse
you should have read
the fine print, brother
before you bought the horse.

Re: Business Model
It makes me think of the coalition government
Re: Business Model
poeticpiers, I can see that interpretation. Also valid to apply to the attitude of the riots?
