Unjustifiably

Post by bags123 » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:49 am

Unjustifiably

Sometimes I sit, and think
Accompanied by a drink
Just a splash of seltzer water
in my whiskey.

With a slice of lemon peel
I can usually learn to deal
with anything, unless its deemed
too risky

I've noticed all my life,
and discussed it with my wife
Unjustifiably, I may seem
too unruly

Is it merely happenstance,
or my own arrogance
inspiring me to see the truth
less truely?

Sometimes I'll make my point
while influenced by a joint.
In the company of people
who are careful.

But there's less of them here now,
far to many forgot how,
but those that are
appear to be more playful.

It's been a long, long, time
since I've reveled in my prime
Now I'm more content to
sit, and be less willfull

Quietly, with friendly talks,
and the whiskey that I bought,
inquiring with a toke
that's aged, but skillful.
I prefer to keep an open mind,....but not so much that my brains fall out.- Carl Sagan

Words are preferable to bullets
Friendly chats can change enemies
Into friends with thirsty gullets.
A toke or two is sure to please
Why fight when you can just relax
enjoy each others company
And moan about the income tax
taking more of your hard earned money.
It is the same the wide world round.
The greedy governments decide
How much to take from every pound
Although were certain that they lied
and do their best to make it sound.
Paying more is cause for pride.
I sit and sip my single malt
Somehow or other it's my fault

And again, I told you in my office if you need to schedule an additional appointment to work out your issues with aging, I'd be more than happy to pencil it down in my appointment book for you. :hello:
