The Perils of Night

Post by Jadynara » Thu Nov 04, 2010 10:04 am

sleep takes me impetuously
stealing from me the adventures
that everyone should have
and leaving in unknowing silence
he who would explore the darkness

suddenly my eyes are blind
my mind an endless acreage
of dreamers deceptions and
painted fantasy lands where
I stumble through my art, alone

Apprehensive at my borders
he can do nothing but linger
wondering where I've gone
in this sad midnight where
I've unwittingly left him waiting
So we're lost, at least we've found each other. Take my hand, if we can't find our way out of the dark, we can make our own light. - Nicole M. Goretzke 2011
