Fairy Sightings
Fairy Sightings
I've explored the dark recesses
where they've been hiding
Deeply under old sod
Neath the cold barrow mound
Where the bones of my ancestors
long have been planted
Gently moved by each prod
from the worms below ground
But the Fey have a way
of remaining immortal,
and despite Jesus adjunct
to be born again
They remain just the same,
as the first time I saw them
Long before I debunked
what I couldn't explain
Now these sightings have grown
more or less,... not as often,
and I wonder if fantasy
comes into play
When I see what I've seen
and my reason has softened
from the sight of these fairies
who won't go away.

Re: Fairy Sightings
This is a fantastic read bags. I really like the way you put things. How interesting that something so small and fragile as fairies can soften a mans reason. The things we experience that we can not explain.... some of the best thigns have no explanation... they simply are and thats the way it should be.

Re: Fairy Sightings
This is either a recount or another look at a topic you've written about before... the faeries in our yard seem to have gone on a sabbatical these past few years.
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.

Great...loved it from beginning to end
Mortal lovers must not try to remain at the first step; for lasting passion is the dream of a harlot and from it we wake in despair.-C. S. Lewis
