Sunrise

Post by Thomas » Sat Aug 29, 2009 8:12 pm

Dark silver shades of satin
dress the earth in night's glow.
She waits in dreams,
breathing slowly in
the scent of new blooms.

As he appears, she imagines
herself his consort,
brave but demure;
comely in her mind
and hopes in his.

He glides to her but
she slips away,
matching stride;
wanting but not able
to share the common stage.

Gently he takes her place -
his movements marked in time,
like hers but more certain, more same
she goes on to her
other work,
other visions, other
rhythms.

He makes his Day
in force and power;
She her night in quiet bower.

However the overlap of their orbits do allow for relative closeness from time to time... sometimes he is even eclipsed by her.

O- Sun- The magnificent fire-king
Golden rays you lovingly bring
During your arrival all birds sing
Your glory they are all praising
Your presence is no doubt surprising
Your action is surely enterprising
A great light-scheme you are devising
The beauty is that you are not at all pricing
What a hot torture you are daily facing!
Exactly in the morning you are surfacing
A beautiful feeling, the world is embracing
Darkness, you are superbly chasing
Fine seasons, for the World you are purchasing
In the Cosmos, you are very skillfully racing
Your stature, nothing will be surely replacing
In Heaven, the World you are kindly placing
Your service to the World is absolutely amazing
In your love and kindness, God we are tracing
What agony you suffer, no one is musing
All want life to be ever jolly and amusing
Power without conscience, all are badly misusing
His heart no one is with merciful outlook using
To be rich, famous and powerful, all are choosing
For this, disasters, they are all cruelly producing
To be highly narrow-minded religions are inducing
Innocent hearts, gun-culture is terrible seducing
O- The Mighty Sun- Conditions are not pleasing
Peace, mirth, joy, bliss and mercy are slowly ceasing
Only stinking money and Himalayan fame are appeasing
Power of thinking, all men are ruthlessly abusing
To God, the prevailing conditions, Angels are apprising
O- Cruel man- God is very carefully now appraising
Against him you all can never indulge in uprising
All your nasty goals, if you are not properly revising
Even after great minds have attacked by criticizing
You may not be given the Sun that is daily blazing
You may be tortured by God’s act of penalizing
If you really want to attain God’s divine blessing
And for His kindness if you are very keenly pressing
In your heart love must reside, lust missing.
