No Extremes

Post by cglabb » Sun Mar 01, 2009 11:32 am

He touched her
gently-
it had been a while
since
gently

He spoke calmly-
all is not
lost

His boy smiles,
rolls over
and falls asleep

There is no
tomorrow-
only
this
and now

“The sun even shines
on a dogs ass some days,”
his friend tells him

Not like that
anymore

A simple thread
in a much larger
fabric

No
extremes

Hello there my old friend. How's it going? Alls well that ends well I suppose. Glad to read you again. A very deeply woven piece. If it reflects your current reality, then I applaud you. Nothing quite as cozy as being tight knitted I've always said.
Helps with the blood pressure too.

Bukowskiesque,
The sun even shines
on a dogs ass some days
And so very, very true.
Some of it must have happened, He thought. It can’t ALL have been a hallucination…unless this is part of it, and I’m really in one of the rubber rooms up in Cedar Rapids, wrapped in a straitjacket and only imagining I’m lying here in my own bed.
