Shangri La
Amidst the snow clad mountains lies
a veritable paradise.
Or so the ancient legends say
but very few will find their way.
To Shangri La the place of peace.
Though men have searched for centuries
enduring hardships and disease.
Without complaining day by day
in vain attempts to find the way.
To Shangri La the place of peace.
Some find their way by accident
and choose to stay, they are content.
to be free from worldly stress.
Perhaps in time man will progress
To Shangri La the place of peace
Til that day dawns all men must bear
some portion of the guilt we share
for all the warlike games we play.
The cruelties which bar the way.
To Shangri La the place of peace.
