Re: Resurrected, Murdered, and Amalgamated

Yes, the simultaneous destruction of Earth and self-destruction of its inhabitants. An event that, while in the process, may still never come to pass, but we certainly aren't helping things out.

Thank you very much for you comment, Moushka. It is appreciated greatly, as always.

Most humble and warm greetings to you, Poetry Pages. I am Davin Casey, and I see myself as an artist. My most notable and noticed platform would be my petty sketching, but I also write poetry, as many of you have seen. Given the fact that I have only been writing for about five months, I don't belie...

The Gene Pool
-By Davin Casey

Exaggerated imperfections -
Flaws in the being,
Physical and emotional,
Spiritual and imaginary -
Have contaminated us.

Resurrected, Murdered, and Amalgamated

Resurrected, Murdered, and Amalgamated -By Davin Casey The early bird has risen, Frozen by the late winter, Resurrected by the warm heart of the love bird. His wings hang limp, dead from lack of use, But his art is the true casualty. The city beneath roars its beckoning calls, With its gas guzzlers...

Investigators come knocking, a crime to solve,
The main suspects being I and we,
But, I revealed, just to resolve
That it was he and she, not me.
Because, you see, I am evolved
Beyond such a thing so petty.

Re: I Don't Eat Eggs

Thank you, thank you, Nekot. As always, your comment has brought an all-too-rare grin to my face. Your prediction is an incredibly good one... Funny thing is, it was done in my Bio II class. I dunno why exactly I wrote it. Kind of a time I needed a laugh, and provided one to myself, despite its lack...

I Don't Eat Eggs

I Don’t Eat Eggs
-By Davin Casey

I placed a cap upon an egg
To protect its fragile head.
A hollow shell,
This cavity is the yolk’s hell,
Until it spills upon my pan
When its fate is known no other than
Denied.
It’s fried.

Re: My heart is breaking!!

Nice poem, as always, Pixie. Situations like these are all too common (I say this, of course, because I am kind of going through something similar,) and poetry is often a good way to convert the negative energy one feels into something constructive, and possibly find that they have a talent. Good ch...

Re: Swwet Pea

This poem is cool in so many ways to me. For one, of course, it is great that there are still those in the world who celebrate such things as new life (despite the world's obvious problems with overpopulation.) That you, in your young age, should be willing to carry it into this world -horrid as it ...

Re: Gave you something great & you tore it to pieces

Hello Pixie Dust. I'm new here, so my opinion is probably not going to be received all that well, but I felt I would share all the same. I really like the message in the poem, for one. Experiences like that are difficult, and after going through them one should learn to put it behind them and move o...
