Very nice poem, Audiofool.
I like the change of tone between the third and fourth stanzas, then the revert back to an easier tone in the last. Kinda reads like a novel.
Good work.

Re: Need
Thank you both for reading and commenting. It's much appreciated.
I actually believe that it is possible to achieve a higher level of sight while still trapped within the confines of a human body. But that's just me, I guess. Ha ha.

Need
Need By Davin Casey Once, I saw. Everything was clear to me. The truth wore my fleshy eyes, ‘til they were raw. The sky fractures, And the wars of reality are bare, Silhouetted against a cold and empty universe. So I stand - Amongst two trillion worlds and stars, all blind - An out of place and mos...

Poeticpiers: Yes, they do. Whether you want them to or not, sadly. Thank you so much for commenting. Greatly appreciated. Jetz: Yeah, I know exactly where those places would be. Of course, I find that the message in a written work far outweighs anything else, and the wording is exactly how I ...

Since Last We Met
Since Last We Met By Davin Casey Since last we met, I’ve touched the stars, Which trace my sky’s Decrepit scars. The forest has Abandoned me, And, afterwards, I lost the seas. Since last we met, I’ve partaken Of demonic Congregations. The angels have Fed on my flesh. Without a word, I gave my best....

Re: Justification
A venture into unrequited sacrifice... At least that's what I'm reading. It's a theme I often find myself taking advantage of while writing. Perhaps the reason I write about it so often is that it is so difficult to understand exactly why a sacrifice for another can go unyielded. At times, one could...

Prayer
Prayer By Davin Casey Submerged below, you blend so well With deep blue seas, and reds of hell. Remarkable, isn't she, The Sapphire Queen? Truth be told, only time will tell. The image of your beauty Far surpasses the late monarchy. I've sacrificed my very soul To feed her starving, vacant hole. My...

Why thank you, Martin. I appreciate that you took time to dig up one of my dusty old poems, and gave me a good reason to come back, beyond just that I'm writing again.xmartinx=] wrote:wow beautiful imagery there =]
It is a very image-based write, for sure. I'm glad you thought well of it.
Thanks, again.
