I was inspired by a song that an Irish pub band did. We saw them in The Square Pint in Kenmare. The band was Natural Gas, and the song was "A Song for Taigue" (I know I spelled that name wrong...) I started this when I first discovered my wife was pregnant, and finished it the day my son was born. He came early - and forced my hand! I've always imagined it as an Irish folk tune.
