reflections (extended version)

How 'bout, "You be sweet", instead of thank you! Ha! I really like this, Gordy!

"through the rain and the window pain
the trees reflection and mine collide"

Love the image it brings to mind!

Sadness is a person

Love this, so sad, I am closer to him then to youth, very poignant feelings are brought up, I could begin to cry...

Part Two Naivity... My youngest daughter is riding bikes out front with a bunch of hooligan older boys...sigh. She wants to be an actress, a singer, she's a natural ham...why do I feel so worried? I Am Not So Naive... I am not so naïve as to think, my small bit in continuing a l...

The Seasons of My Childhood:Part Three-Spring

Okay, this is the last part I have finished, will have to get to work on Summer and Fall. Yearning, growing need for change as painful winter hangs on, and then...rivulets of water are running, carving intricate miniature rivers and tributaries, twisting, tinkling, they become death-still at night, ...

The Seasons of My Childhood: Part one-The Move

Thank you, Heinzs! The "rush" feeling of "somebody likes it!" is very nice! Am wondering though, if the original is less cluttered and tighter, would you let me know what you think? I think I like the long! Is everybody here able to reread their own works over...

The Seasons of My Childhood:Part Two-Winter

Shocking reality of severe Northern season, soul-piercing coldness, grey shades of lowering clouds, never-ending weeks of hearth fires, snow shovels and salt, red-cheeks and steaming heaps of peeled-off clothes, piles and globs of nature’s chilly offering, melting in warmth and companionable comfort...

how the sun shined on my temple

Amazing! I feel I want more out of the last few paragraphs, tho, more how you "felt" after the seed-eating, like the wonderful descriptions of the "baaleful" period. "How" were you filled? What were the feelings of the "Fillness"? The feelings of LOVE?

Angel

Oh my god, that was great! I sense this and Bones could be longer and "read" in a published short-stories book. Maybe the demon imp could have a bigger role...an angel-of-death wannabe...love the way you can get a mind working on "what could be"!

Digging the Bones

I like this! Actually, I would like a whole book about these creatures, their family and their world, but then, I am a fan of horror and science fiction! I especially liked the description of Hal's remains ending with the eye ball looking up!! Great mind-picture!

The Seasons of My Childhood: Part one-The Move

Sorry I couldn't fit anything else in the start of my "Seasons" poem in that post! Am very new to this, am fooling around with some advice I recieved to write what I feel strongly about and my "memories" of my childhood are lovingly archived in my head and often taken out and used to help me fall as...

The Seasons of My Childhood: Part one-The Move

The birth of six in times of chic, skirted suits and matching hats, filled the family house in the beauty of moist Oregon’s winter coolness, ocean-snug air moves laborously across the sloping land, weight wrung from earth-hugging clouds by lofty, proud pines in high mountain forests, then swiftly es...
