Very thought provoking. I like the manner in which you portray the shadows as a living entity, almost as if it were crouching, waiting to pounce and devour its prey. Like the mind betraying itself, plunging itself unknowing, into a state of despair. Nice write using short verse in a profound manner....

I think Jesus spoke in parables for a reason. Maybe so man would contemplate them and in doing so enrich his soul. After all words are just words - unless we seek the true meaning behind them, they will only be ink placed upon paper.
