Been a while

Good evening everyone.... It's been a while. Got an email that looked to be randomly generated asking me what's going on. So let's get into it: If you remember I was an Army Paratrooper and was medically retired at 17 years. I developed standard gulf war syndrome type problems, i.e. fibromyalga, clu...

Sonnet? Pt 1?

Shall I confess my heart to her tonight? No, for I shall not be made to look weak! On certain subjects, a man does not speak-- To keep a certain silence is polite. I traveled the world and seen all in sight; Then why does this young girl hold such mystique? What about Nikki makes her so unique? How ...

PLease give Richard my regards. And let him know that if he needs anything at all him or his family to please inform me. HE is a very good man and his departure from the poetry pages was missed and his other journey will be no less than tragic.

See? I try to articulate how I feel and Bags just shoots me down. People wonder why I don't write anymore.

I wrote this in the desert and sent it home to a friend. She went to the local newspaper and they printed it on the front page of the Newspaper on Thanksgiving day (mom's favorite holiday) and she was extremely happy.

Oh Rabab,

If only you were here,
I would pepper the cheek of your choice
with special kisses of saddness and regret

For much like the melon,
who doesn't stop to thank the fertilizer
for making it fat and delicious,

I have neglected you.

For Buttterflies

I miss you because:

Good old Rabab, with cookie crumbs in her hair,
I miss her so
Who's gonna acid wash my jeans?
Whose gonna heat up my rice and beans?
Who will rinse my moustache clean??

Wherefore art thou Rabab?

The Importance of Following Directions

I had to write this a few days ago. (Don't ask) It isn't very accurate but is funny considering it was 'corrective training' for the Army. The Importance of Following Directions Following directions is one of the most important things in this world and especially in this Army that we can ...
