Re: I didn't get to say Good Bye 5/31/06 about grampa

Glad ya had him. I stood my Grandma up Thanksgiving 1995. She died Christmas Eve.
I can relate. It took a while but I came to understand that it wasn't her last moments
but all those moments that came before that mattered.
I'm glad I had her and I'm glad you had him.

Re: The Anger That Kills

I think whats missing is the twist. What lies beneath the anger...what the anger conceals...pain I think somehow if you could twist the end to show its the unbearable pain that causes the anger which is directed inward and results in the suicide. I think. :?: Or maybe not. I like it. But I a...

The War I Wage

Screaming to be heard pain lost within the words. What does it matter? It seems it never has....and perhaps it never will but silence kills. Begging to be felt? To be known and understood...and to be loved? That hurts too much. Its easier to rage and thats the war I wage against your apathy. I could...

Re: Ode to Scrooge

Bah humbug. Scrooge was a coward.
You couldn't possibly be.
The world is rude and selfish...yes. But I don't have to be. Though once they had me trained, I am learning a better way.
No longer a coward myself.
HOWEVER....I DO NOT WATCH THE NEWS!
All that said I like your poem.

Re: Read & Critique. Third Person Short Story, Help?

I'm no professional writer so keep that in mind. This leaves me wondering what the third person is talking about. The teen, her admirer or her situation. Seems like it should say something like "he watches from the window of the house they share" instead of the wording you chose. (though the descrip...
