Re: Grading your critiques
to update.... I have finished and published a book now. "the distant garden" via Lulu. I don't like it and find the 300+ pages both a joy and a despair. a joy...hey! I DID it! a despair...in truth it has many many problems. the most positive outcome is that my story now has a life of its' own. It is...

Re: Grading your critiques
would unlock and stick this where it belongs? I have been absent from here for some time, so I want to ask some questions about how things work now. I am in the midst of writing prose fiction…..book length stuff. Why? 1) for “fun”, 2)to keep out of my wife’s hair, 3)for my grandchildren to read,4) f...

Re: the house on east 14th street
thanks!
I'm starting on book two (New Eden) now.
writing is fun.....I only wish I had paid more attention to the prof of "creative writing"
and...while it was necessary to my career, the past passive is REAL dull!

The house on east 14th street Episode one (April 14, 1999) It was one of those fine days in Spring when the leaves on the trees were still yellow-green with birth and things felt new and clean, so Kar walked from the subway to the brownstone on State street. Return to #10 Sumer Sokok
Ankara has exploded across the barren hills.
Growing younger, noisier, flushed in growth.
“New Town” is no longer a novice,
Whispers of street vendors, a shadowy memory,
Replaced by young Turks, tourists, and accretion.

Re: the house on east 14th street
ok...I'd like comments on this. it's about ready to publish. the publlishing game has REALLY changed! my guess the best way to go with this 10 episode thing is with Lulu (published there before...got some money!) there are some nice photos that go with it, but I can not figure out how to add them.

Questions
Do these words,
Written:stark black on white,
And dead;
Lay at rest?
Is there movement,
In some magical way,
Transforming them;
Into thought?
Does a song
Invisible- but truly real,
Vibrating briefly,
Ever die?
Do you,
Hidden forever from me,
A string apart,
Exist?
yes
